BURNOUTS & KILLS !!!!! Are you getting TIRED
of your Impala & 9C1 Caprice buddies telling you Crown Vics can't
burn rubber ? Me too...well here are some graphics to clam them up this
week. Check Paul's new Carlsbad #'s & Kills
!
Mike's '99 Grand Marquis:
-
Details: Mike "Chuck" Scannell
in his 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis, 4.6L V8 OHC 16v, Front
engine, rear drive. See more pics here (a GREAT burnout page!!!): Burn-Outs...Smoke
'Em If You Got 'Em
Paul's -- '98 Crown "GT" Vic:
-
Details: Burnout
from POST- '98 CV to '99 GT
head swap. PRE-new BFG Comp T/As. "i made a quick detour on my way to get new tires on the Vic. found a nice
empty parking lot and "lit 'em up!" 30 seconds later, wifey
snapped the pic as the cloud rose to 10000 feet! as she jumped in along with
the toxic fumes, we hear sirens we make a run for it as two LAFD fire
engines come rushing up. one I think tried to chase me but we were able to
evade him through the cloud that stretched the length of the parking lot.
about a block away, I rolled down the window to let all the smoke out,
looked like the inside of the bluesmobile! "What burnout occifer
*cough*" moral of the story? NEVER do a 30 second
mondo burnout across the street from a fire station!"
Ken's -- '97 Police Interceptor:
-
Details: In the 1st
pic on the left, this riceboy guy in a 1998 4 door Honda civic 5-speed
started mouthing off to Ken...(can you believe this sh*t?) calling him a
"Cop Imposter", among other things & started taunting him to
race. If you look closely, you can see Ken yelling something back,
red-faced. Then pic 2, is the results of the race -- where's the '98
Honda ? Try 15 car-lengths back. =) Enjoy my fiction ? hee...hee...heee !
The REAL story in Ken's own words: "We found a great parking lot before
I put my new Comp T/A HR4s on the car. Unfortunately it was a church. Wife
snapped pictures and we fled. Moral of story is that firestone firehawks
burn well and there is nothing like a real P71 interceptor!!"

2000 Dark Blue Crown Vic:
-
Details: Hey Geoff, here's a burnout
"shot" of a 2000 Dark Blue Crown Vic w/ the Performance
Package =) BTW this was produced with Need for Speed: High Stakes and
the Crown Victoria model, it accurately simulates the performance of the
CV (0-60 in 8-8.3 seconds, etc) It's one of the slowest cars in the
game, but its compared to stuff like the McLaren F1 GTR and the Mercedes
Benz CLK-GTR (both do 0-60 in 2-3 seconds).
KILLS
!!! Have you been kicking import azz lately ? What about run-ins with
Chevy's, Mopars, or other Ford's ? Send me your evidence...Paul breaks this
section in rather nicely with the pics below: check the new LT1 Impala SS &
Civic kills.

Details:
My car ran one 15.0, one 15.1, then a whole slew of consistent
15.2's with a spinning 2.3 60ft. The car is VERY consistent when
traction is taken out of the equation, it runs 91MPH on all runs.
With some stickier tires and cooler weather, I would have gotten a
14.9. They closed the freakin' track at 5:30PM at 75 degrees and the
sun blazing. When does it start to get dark earlier? OK, now for
some of the races I ran a 15.2@91mph the '93 or '94 9C1 running BFG DR's
ran a 15.5@89mph. The guy couldn't believe what happened so he asked
for a rematch. Turbovic smoked his bowtie ass again with an
identical 15.2/15.5 run! HAHA I also smoked a Civic BAD, here are
some pics. Editor's NOTE: Paul's current combo
includes -- Full
99GT headswap including cams and intake, TransGo
shift kit and rebuilt 99GT converter, ProM75mm with Optimizer,
Steeda underdrive pullies, 70mm throttle body, IAT resistor box mod,
Custom burned Superchip, Richmond 3.73 gears, '97
PI front and rear springs, Bilstein HD shocks, Bench seat cut into
buckets, BF Goodrich Comp T/A ZR's on 16" PI rims, Full 2000 PI
black-out trim & hubcaps.

Editor's Summary -- Paul was laughed at, he made a righteous KILL, the
laughing stopped. Here is what my first race looked like. It was against a
little rice boy and his "crew" who were laughing at "Granny's
car". My wife told me she heard the driver say something along the
lines of "I'm gunna smoke this foo!". Guess who was laughing at
the finish line!
